Automobile estremamente rara, prodotti in solo 4.333 esemplari per tutto il mondo, di cui solo 1.350 unità per il mercato Europeo e soltanto indicativamente 30/40 esemplari per il mercato Italiano. La SLK 32 AMG, oltre che per produzione, risulta un oggetto estremamente raro anche per il contenuto tecnico e le specifiche: Motore M112 C32: Un V6 da 3.2 litri sovralimentato tramite un compressore volumetrico che eroga 354 cv, è stato uno degli ultimi motori assemblati a mano ad Affalterbach. Il cambio automatico a 5 marce (NAG1) è stato modificato appositamente da AMG con la logica Speedshift, garantiva cambi di marcia più veloci del 35% rispetto alle SLK standard. Manteneva la marcia inserita in curva in base alle forze laterali e scalava automaticamente durante le frenate brusche per garantire il freno motore.
